Shallal is an inclusive arts charity based in Cornwall. It started over twenty five years ago with an inclusive community dance theatre company and became a charity in 2005. Shallal runs ongoing community groups, specialist sessions and a main dance theatre company.

Shallal aims to make the arts accessible to a wide range of the community. We do this by working with the process of creativity, the work then often naturally becomes cross art form. Many people are attracted to this way of working and the richness that diversity brings to the fun and sharing of the creative process.

Shallal aims to give everyone involved a voice and the opportunity to explore different art forms.

From our unique voices we improvise, explore and collaborate to create work.

Shallal’s Formal Charitable Objects are to:
Promote, maintain, improve and advance education and to preserve and protect health particularly by providing access to and involvement in the performing arts including the arts of dance, theatre, music, visual arts, film, costume, photography, sculpture, writing and theatre technical skills by a wide range of the community, especially those who need a supportive environment.
